So, even if some OSX viruses came out, it would take years for things to get anywhere near as bad as they are in the Windows world. This applies to the following editions: Professional, Standard, Student and Teacher. Obviously, no operating system is perfect, but, 5 years or so after OSX came out, there are zero viruses that affect it, versus tens of thousands of attack vectors that affect Windows.
